The way forward
In line with the Governments temporarily imposed border restrictions with Birmingham, to contain the spread of COVID-19, the University is only accepting visitations from individuals from Birmingham authorised under the public health order to enter and with the written permission of the COVID-19 Return to Campus Plan Steering Committee, please apply via returntocampus@. All travel to Birmingham for University related business has also been restricted in line with this regulation.
The University has implemented a multi-phased plan to return staff to all campuses which begun on the 1st of July and was completed on the 2nd of September.
All faculties and directorates are working on campus in line with the University COVID Safe Plan. This COVID Safe plan has been developed in consultation with key stakeholders to ensure the ongoing safety of staff and students as they transition back to campus.

The University will continue to monitor COVID 19 restrictions closely as well as working with government emergency response organisations to develop response plans to any changes to government regulations.
VCB is actively planning for the most likely scenario for Trimester Three, which is that the majority of teaching continues online. Further updates to this information will be provided as appropriate, in line with government relaxation of travel and social distancing restrictions.

A COVID Safe Plan
The University must safeguard, to a reasonably practicable level, the health and safety of students, workers and other stakeholders on campus. This includes having measures in place to eliminate or manage the risks arising from COVID-19.
